million people living in an area hardly147,570 square kilometer,
Bangladesh in known to have the highest density of population in the world. So, quite often it is said that
population is the no. 1 problem hindering the journey of the country to
the prosperity. an insight into the trend of socio-economic development
will, however, reveal that it is not the over-population, but the lack
of appropriate planning to turn the human population into Human
Capital. which is greatly impending the process of economic
development in the country. In spite of frequent natural calamities disrupting normal
life, absence of enabling environment and supportive infrastructure, the
macro economic development in the country looks quite satisfactory,
resulting in about 5.5 GDP growth in recent year. this can be largely
attributed to the commendable role being played by the individual
entrepreneurs and the enterprising work force behind them, together
forming a formidable Private Sector.
